I didn't know what to expect when I ordered the painting. It turned out to be a relaxing and enjoyable experience. It made appreciate how great an artist was Monet. When he created the painting he didn't have those little numbered spaces that showed what colors go where.
I enjoyed painting the Poppy Fields and I think it would be an excellent starter project for a new painter. It's an Impressionist painting and the lines are a bit more fluid.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my pandemic time with PBN. This one was particularly enjoyable. BUT the color guide has me very confused with the sky. I notice the finished rendition indicates a buff sky in the upper left while mine a medium blue. Not pleased with a green sky? Am trying to blend for a more realistic look. Anyone else confounded with this? The acrylic paints makes it easy to change colors if you wish. As you can see I’m not quite finished. Nearly there.
It was a challenging piece, not the hardest but took about a month. The outcome was really quite lovely and I'm proud to have it hanging on my fridge. I used different brushes than the ones included with the kit. I'm very satisfied with the colors and the print.
